About Us
The Suburban West Newcomer's Club is a non-profit,
social organization dedicated to allowing new and existing residents
of the Milwaukee suburbs to make the most of their community. This
Newcomer's branch was founded in the 1960's and continues to grow in
both members and activities. Membership is open to anyone who would
like to participate in activities in the Waukesha County area.
The club is governed by a volunteer board consisting of
a president, vice-president, treasurer, and officers overseeing
membership, newsletter, circulation, web/email, advertising,
publicity, and history. Chairs for various activities are drawn from
the board and other club members.
Our members represent the near-Western suburbs of Milwaukee and mainly
reside in Waukesha County. Most members live in Brookfield,
Waukesha, Elm Grove, or Menomonee Falls with some from other
nearby suburbs. One of our most active interest areas is the Kid's Club which
provides organized activities for pre-school children. Ladies
evening events such as Bunko, crafts, and evenings out are also
popular. For a full description of club happenings, please see our
activities page.
